“I have known Gary Olson for 35 years. Over these years we have been involved in major projects. The first, 1990 in Seaside Heights, we took a dilapidated building and totally renovated it. Gary did all the structural repair. He made a very difficult assignment appear easy and non-challenging, and he also did all the finish work. His company’s ability to not only save us money, but finish on time impressed me so much that they built a restaurant for me in Wildwood, NJ called “Jumbos”. Once again, Gary made me look like a hero as he was able to follow the restaurant designer’s architect’s design perfectly. Gary renovated a building called “Curley’s Fries” in North Wildwood, NJ. “Thanks to A TruBuilders you made it possible for our mom to move back into her home July 4th, just in time to enjoy the summer in Ocean Gate, NJ.
Our mom’s home was substantially damaged by Hurricane Sandy the end of October 2012. Her first floor had to be completely gutted. 218 Newport Avenue was built by my family in the mid 1950s for her parents and it is where mom has lived the last 12 years. Mom is 83 years “young” and handled this life event better than those much younger than her.
From the time we signed the contract to go forward with A TruBuilders to be our general contractor until mom moved back, you made the process very seamless. A TruBuilders is not just a general contractor; you took us through the entire process and provided invaluable assistance from review of the insurance claim, value engineering, renovation, picking out flooring, kitchen, bathroom, trim, colors and more. You are a true full service company providing disaster recovery.
We took your recommendation and used ProScope who provided us a second opinion of the damage. Thru our dealings with ProScope, we received substantially more money from our insurance company. We had no idea there was a company that provided such service. When you have not experienced this before, you are at the mercy of the “experts” and tend to be “satisfied” with their findings. We were very happy that our insurance company accepted ProScope’s findings. This is another example of A TruBuilders being a full sevice company providing disaster recovery.
A TruBuilders understood the importance of us needing to get mom back in her home and the budget we had to work within. You really listened to mom and knew what was important to her and kept us on track when we (her children) wanted to make changes that were not what “mom wanted!” She was very nervous about the new tankless water heater that replaced her old furnace and water tank. You made her feel very comfortable that there would be plenty of water and nice warm heat in the winter; she is now a believer!
